Rhodes DocuDrama “Exactly Where We Were” Now Available Online

Publication Date: 4/5/2013

Yesterday on the 45th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Rhodes College presented an on-campus screening of its docudrama about the then-Southwestern College on April 4, 1968. It is titled “Exactly Where We Were” and is now on YouTube.

This short docudrama, created by the Advanced Digital Art course in the Fall of 2012 and taught by Elizabeth Daggett, shows selected memories of the evening of April 4, 1968 at the then-Southwestern College campus.

The film features interviews with alumni Bill Short, Coby Smith, and Charlie Lemmond, and in the dramatic reenactments, the part of Dean Jameson Jones is played by Dr. Timothy Huebner, Professor Jim Lanier by Bud Richey, and the young Coby Smith by Chigozie Emelue. John Cerrito is Charlie Lemmond, Tim Wright is Bill Short, and David Bergen plays David McGuire.
