Rhodes Student Designs BRIDGES 2012 Light Holiday Card
Publication Date: 11/20/2012
Alexandra Corbett, Rhodes sophomore and a Lausanne Collegiate School alumna, is designer of this year’s holiday card for BRIDGES which serves more than 15,000 youth and adults.
Her card is inspired by her experiences as a participant in BRIDGES in high school. “A great deal of the imagery expresses a sense of unity,” says Corbett. “Meanwhile, the two figures doing backbends echo the shape of the Memphis Bridge and represent how every Bridge Builder becomes a human bridge, and the seed growing into a plant represents change and growth in Memphis.
Recently, Corbett was a special guest of BRIDGES’ Light of Holiday Extravaganza.
