Publication Date: 11/16/2012
Rhodes mock trial teams will host and compete in a 10-team “Blues City Scrimmage” to be held on campus Nov. 17-18. The invitational tournament will take place in Buckman Hall. Rounds are 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday with awards to follow.
Schools competing other than Rhodes (3 teams) include: Middle Tennessee State University (2), Millsaps College (2), University of Memphis (2) and Mississippi College (1).
During the fall and early spring, invitational tournaments are held around the country to allow teams to prepare for American Mock Trial Association-sanctioned tournaments and to advance to the nationals.
The national championship is in April, and Rhodes again will host an opening round of the competition.
