Alum Joanna Young ′05 Begins Marshall Memorial Fellowship in Europe

Joanna Young, vice president at JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking in Dallas, Texas, has been granted a 2012 Marshall Memorial Fellowship by the German Marshall Fund of the United States.
The fellowship provides emerging leaders from the United States and Europe opportunities to explore each other’s politics, business, innovation, and culture through experiential learning. Fellows visit five cities during the 24-day program as well as meet with policymakers, political, financial, and corporate decision-makers, and distinguished community members. Recently, Young met top officials at NATO and attended a committee meeting at the European Union (EU).
In her role at JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking, Young works with CEOs and CFOs to provide loans and domestic and international treasury services. She graduated from Rhodes in 2005 with a B.A. in business administration and is president of Rhodes College North Texas Alumni.
Says Young about her role as a Marshall Memorial Fellow, “I am so honored to be a part of this program and participate in leadership development and lifelong learning that was encouraged at Rhodes.”
