Rhodes Featured As Part of U.S. News College Road Trip

The spirit of giving back resonates at Rhodes, according to an article on today’s online U.S. News and World Report about Tennessee colleges.The article also appears in the U.S. News “Best Colleges 2013” guidebook.
“Most Tuesday afternoons, Rhodes College junior Lucy Kay Sumrall finishes class and rides the few miles from the campus′ wooded Memphis enclave to St. John′s United Methodist Church to help serve meals to some 100 homeless and low-income city residents,” writes Michael Morella.
He adds that Rhodes embraces many of the educational and extracurricular offerings of Memphis including St. Jude Children′s Research Hospital, FedEx, the Memphis Zoo and the National Civil Rights Museum.
