Two Rhodes Faculty Contribute to New Encyclopedia Volume on Social Class

Prof. John Murray of the Department of Economics and Prof. Gail Murray of the Department of History have written entries for Volume 20 of the New Encyclopedia of Southern Culture published this summer by the University of North Carolina Press.
The book offers an exploration of issues related to social class in the South from the colonial era to the present. The Rhodes faculty have written entries on child labor (John) as well as welfare and charity (Gail).
