Graduating senior Chelsea Peters has been named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-District® team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The honor is bestowed upon the nation′s top student-athletes recognizing those that excel both on the field and in the classroom.

Peters, a chemistry major and four year starter for the Lynx, will graduate with honors –maintaining a 3.9 or better grade point average. Athletically, Peters leaves Rhodes as one of the most decorated pitchers ever to wear the school′s uniform, ranking statistically in the top five of multiple all-time pitching categories.

With Peters First Team Selection, she is eligible to be named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-American Team, to be selected later this month.
