Ryan Carroll ’12 Wins Outstanding Presentation Award

Rhodes senior Ryan Carrroll has won an Outstanding Presentation Award for his poster at the 2012 Joint Mathematics Meetings in Boston, Mass. The poster was generated from his honors senior thesis project in mathematics titled “Gamma-Euler-Satake Characteristics of Closed Three-Orbifolds.”

It placed among the top 15% of undergraduate poster presentations. This year’s conference featured more than 6,500 mathematicians from academia, government, and industry.


Founded in 1848, Rhodes College is a private, coeducational college of liberal arts and sciences.
