Rhodes has several programs that help pay college expenses while allowing students to practice skills and principles acquired through coursework and in the community.

Here are some with January deadlines:

Center for Outreach in the Development of the Arts (CODA) Fellows-These students develop an understanding of issues in arts leadership though practice and by working with faculty and community-based mentors.
DEADLINE: Jan. 15, 2012

Bonner Scholars-Since 1992, the Bonner Scholars Program has supported a growing spirit of service at Rhodes, helping the college move from a strong history of volunteerism to an even stronger commitment to service-learning, social change and servant leadership.
DEADLINE: Jan. 15, 2012

St. Jude Summer Plus Program-This program allows students to be paired with scientists at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and be involved in intensive research.
DEADLINE: Jan. 23, 2012

Fine and Performing Arts Scholarships-These awards are available to students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the performing arts. The determination of the award is dependent upon acceptance to the college and a juried score based upon a music/theatre audition or fine arts portfolio.
MUSIC DEADLINE: Jan. 23, 2012
ART DEADLINE: Jan. 31, 2012
