Rhodes Undergraduate To Make Presentation at Graduate Student Conference

Mathew Jehl ’13 will present a paper today (Nov. 11) at the Graduate Association of African American History’s 13th Annual Conference at The University of Memphis. Jehl will be the only undergraduate student to present at this graduate student conference.

The title of his paper is “George Lee: An Unsung Civil Rights Activist in an Overshadowed Movement.” A history-political science bridge major, Jehl originally wrote the paper under the direction of Prof. Charles McKinney during the 2011 Rhodes Institute for Regional Studies.
