Prof. Charles McKinney to Speak at National Civil Rights Museum

Dr. Charles McKinney Jr., associate professor of history at Rhodes, will speak on civil rights scholarship and teaching on July 22 at the National Civil Rights Museum (450 Mulberry Street). His presentation is part of a book signing and workshop by Emilye Crosby, who is editor of the new book Civil Rights History from the Ground Up.
McKinney is author of Greater Freedom: The Evolution of the Civil Rights Struggle in Wilson, North Carolina.
Free and open to the public, the event begins at 2:30 p.m.
