Ken Woodmansee Joins Rhodes As New Communications Director

Ken Woodmansee of Memphis has joined Rhodes College as director of communications. “Ken brings to us a wealth of experience in communications and a real passion for Rhodes and for Memphis. He is a terrific addition to the college,” says Carey Thompson, vice president for enrollment and communications.
In the Rhodes position, Woodmansee will provide leadership for the college’s marketing and communications programs while managing public relations, news media, print and online publications, and special events with emphasis on student recruitment.
With more than 20 years of combined writing, editing and marketing communications experience, Woodmansee comes to Rhodes from cs2 Advertising where he was vice president of corporate communications. There he was responsible for the strategic development and supervision of internal and external marketing communications programs, public and media relations campaigns, and traditional and online media plans.
Prior to working at cs2 Advertising, Woodmansee held positions at Chandler, Ehrlich & Company, Inc., and from 1995 to 1998, he was director of publications/assistant director of public relations at Christian Brothers University.
As a writer and editor, he has published articles in Memphis, Agenda, and Living Blues magazines and the Memphis Flyer, among others. Woodmansee holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Mississippi.
