Rhodes Professor Appears in Juvenile Court Centennial Film Debuting This Week

A new documentary, “100 Years of Juvenile Court,” will premiere on WKNO-TV September 30 at 7:30 p.m. The half-hour film is part of the local law community’s recognition of the 100th anniversary of the Juvenile Court of Memphis and Shelby County.

Dr. Gail Murray, associate professor of history at Rhodes, appears in the film as one of the historical consultants. Memphis filmmaker Willy Bearden produced “100 Years of Juvenile Court” and is known to the Rhodes community for his independent feature “One Came Home” starring Rhodes Theatre Professor Julia “Cookie” Ewing.
