Summer Service Fellows to Share Experiences Working for Memphis Nonprofits

For the past eight weeks, 16 Summer Service Fellows have worked full time at various nonprofits in the Memphis community. On Thursday, July 29, and Friday, July 30, they will give a brief account of their summer work and will discuss the impact that the experience has had from a personal perspective.

The following presentations will take place in Barrett 051:

Thursday, July 29
9:30 – 9:50: Ginny Brady (Church Health Center)
9:50 – 10:10: Aya Kato (Church Health Center and Le Bonheur)
10:10 – 10:30: Alex Lippincott (Youth Villages)
10:30 – 10:40: Brief Break
10:40 – 11:00: Justin Deere (Project Green Fork)
11:00 – 11:20: Claire Cullen (St. Jude)
11:20 – 11:40: Elizabeth Tomlinson (Caritas Village)
12:30– 12:50: John Payne (Wolf River Conservancy)
12:50 –1:10: Sarah Rogers (Literacy Mid-South)
1:10 – 1:30: Sarah Doherty (Ronald McDonald House)
1:30 – 1:50: Brief Break
1:50 – 2:10: Mac Bruce (Shelby Farms Park Conservancy)
2:10 – 2:30: Jordan Kennamer (Habitat for Humanity)

Friday, July 30
9:15 – 9:35: Teresa Zhou (BRIDGES)
9:35 – 9:55: Sydney Shearer (BRIDGES)
9:55 – 10:15: Will Lay (Memphis Area Legal Services)
10:15 – 10:25: Brief Break
