Rhodes’ Institute for Health Equity and Community Justice is a collaborative effort across several departments, disciplines, and teams that share critical research and strategies for creating equity and justice-centered practices across the healthcare continuum. With a foundation built on early work at Rhodes championing just and equitable healthcare systems in the Memphis context, the Institute's curricula, workshops, courses, and learning opportunities have reached tens of thousands of healthcare providers, partners, and community members.

The inauguration ceremony for President Jennifer M. Collins was held on October 21, 2023. The ceremony was presided over by Board of Trustees Chair Deborah Legg Craddock ’80, P’12 in the Bryan Campus Life Center, where she greeted guests that included representatives of organizations and institutions of higher learning from Memphis and around the country.

The college is relaunching a number of initiatives, including the Rhodes College Student Entrepreneurship Club and the annual Rhodes College Business Plan Competition. Eric Mathews, a member of the Rhodes Class of 2002 and CEO of Start Co., will serve as the new entrepreneur-in-residence.
