I want to apply to Rhodes—what is the procedure?

Seniors may apply either online or by traditional paper application—choose the method most convenient for you. And while we waive the $45 application fee for online applicants, all applications receive equal consideration.

As you follow the steps outlined below, take time to ensure that everything is complete, accurate and has all required signatures (if using a paper application) so we can process your application without delay.

Step 1: Review our admissions application and financial aid deadlines.

Step 2: Begin the application process.

I want to apply online.

• You may complete the Common Application online.
• Submit the Rhodes Common Application Supplement.

I want to submit a paper application.

• Download the Rhodes Common Application Supplement (PDF).
• Download the Common Application (PDF).
• Submit these completed documents with a non-refundable check for $45 to Rhodes Office of Admission.

Step 3: Submit the appropriate supporting materials.

• Request that your high school transcript(s) and SAT and/or ACT test scores be sent to the Office of Admission. (Rhodes’ SAT code is 1730, and its ACT code is 4008)
• Give the Secondary School Report (PDF) and Midyear Report (PDF) forms to your high school/college guidance counselor. 
• Home-schooled students must request that two SAT II subject tests other than English or Mathematics be sent to the Office of Admission.
• Give the Teacher Evaluation (PDF) to one of your junior or senior level teachers to complete.
• Submit the Early Decision Agreement (PDF) signed by you, your parents and high school/college guidance counselor if you wish to be considered under the Early Decision Plan.
• Submit the CSS PROFILE (Rhodes code: 1730) and FAFSA (Rhodes Title IV code: 003519) if you are applying for need-based financial aid.
• Transfer students: be aware that you must submit additional supporting materials. See special instructions for transfer students.

Step 4: If possible, schedule a campus visit.

It’s not required, but it gives us an opportunity to know you beyond your application—and may influence our acceptance decisions. You’ll also have the chance to learn more about Rhodes and get one-on-one answers to your questions.
