NSF
National Science
Foundation
This grant sparks
new work on the AutoTutor System to further develop the ideas that stemmed
from an earlier National Science Foundation Grant. Work this time around
is focusing on the further development of ideal tutoring strategies,
studies into animated conversational agents, transferring AutoTutor
to be a web based facility, as well as investigations in the development
of authoring tools. AutoTutor teaches students computer literacy topics
in a mixed initiative dialog setting.
