Eric Mathews came to Rhodes College from Little Rock, Arkansas, and began his work with Dr. Natalie Person in the Spring of 1999 through a work study program in Psychology. In the following school year, Dr. Person invited Eric to work with her and the Tutoring Research Group (TRG) at the University of Memphis. While working on the grants held by the TRG, Eric has contributed to many projects, including AutoTutor 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0, HURAA, and most recently Why/AutoTutor. In addition to pursuing a degree at Rhodes, Eric has served the college on the Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity Task Force, the College's Honor Council, as well as the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Symposium. Eric graduates in May 2002 with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Chemistry.
