The Language and
Learning Technologies Lab was founded at Rhodes
College in September 2001 as an extension of the Institute
for Intelligent Systems at the University
of Memphis. The lab was founded to provide researchers at Rhodes
College with much needed resources to conduct work in the field of Intelligent
Systems, a sub-field of Artificial Intelligence. Both groups collaborate
on several interdisciplinary research projects within the Intelligent
Systems domain, and are funded by the Department of Defense, the Office
of Naval Research, and the National Science Foundation.
