Students Publish Articles with Prof. David Kabelik in Science Journals

Three Rhodes neuroscience majors have published articles in science journals with Dr. David Kabelik of the Rhodes Department of Biology. Kabelik teaches animal physiology and neuroscience courses, and the articles relate to the sexual and aggressive behaviors of the brown anole, a lizard native to Cuba and the Bahamas and found in the southern United States.

Kabelik’s article with Sumner Magruder ’16 is published in Biology Letters, and his article with Alyssa Johnson ’15 and Shelley Choudhury ’15 is published in Brain Research. The latter also includes Rhodes alumni Veronica Alix ’12, Leah Singh ’11, Caroline Elbaum ’14, and Madeline Scott ’13 as co-authors.
