Russian Studies Welcomes New Fulbright Teaching Assistant

This is the 10th consecutive year the Rhodes Russian Studies Program has been awarded a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA). This year, the program welcomes Yana Chernaya of St. Petersburg, who serves as a teaching assistant and takes Rhodes courses.

Teaching assistants are selected on the basis of academic and professional achievement as well as demonstrated leadership potential. Fulbright FLTA scholarships are awarded by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

Alexandra Kostina, assistant professor of Russian, is the Rhodes coordinator for the Fulbright Teaching Assistant from Russia program.
