12/06/10 |  The literary journal Rain Taxi Review of Books has published a lengthy interview with Prof. Jeff Jackson in its latest online edition.  Jackson spoke with the magazine at length about his most recent book Paris Under Water:  How the City of Light Survived the Great Flood of 1910 as well as his earlier book Making Jazz French:  Music and Modern Life in Interwar Paris.  In their wide-ranging conversation, interviewer Rob Couteau asks Jackson about the story behind these two books and what this research tells us about life in a modern city like Paris.  Rain Taxi is a a widely-respected and award-winning magazine devoted to writing that pushes "the boundaries of narrative, language, and genre."
