Language Center

Welcome to the Language Learning Center at Rhodes College!
We moved to the first floor of the renovated Palmer Hall in the fall of 2010. The language center was completely redesigned as a cutting-edge, multi-purpose language learning facility.

If you or your club would like to hold a foreign language or cultural event in the Language Center, please contact us:

Translations:

The Rhodes College Language Learning Center does not provide translation services nor do we mediate contracts or deals between patrons and potential translators. Any translation services solicited by a Language Center employee must be done individually and separately from the work they do in the Language Center.

Rental and Reservation Policy:

The Rhodes College Language Learning Center does not usually rent out the space to external organizations. Any requests should go through the Office of Scheduling and College Events.
Academic departments that are not Modern Languages and Literatures or Greek and Roman Studies may request to use the space, but should do so through the Language Center RSA.

Printing:

The Rhodes College Language Center has a grayscale printer attached to the College’s network and PaperCut. However, this printer is only accessible during operation hours, and faculty and staff does not open the Language Center outside of their own classes and events. The Language Center Staff recommends that people using our printer do so from the Language Center or else ensure that they will be coming to retrieve their work during a time when the Center is open. Hours are posted to the front door of the Center and the Center’s website. After an appropriate amount of time, all unclaimed documents are recycled.
