Student Disability Services

Rhodes College is committed to ensuring that educational programs are accessible to all qualified students.  The college strives to create an environment of equal access for students with disabilities.

The Office of Student Disability Services (SDS) at Rhodes College provides support and assistance to students with documented disabilities:

  •  Learning and Attentional Disorders
  •  Psychiatric Disabilities
  •  Mobility Impairments
  •  Sensory Impairments
  •  Chronic Health Impairments

In accordance with the provisions of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA), SDS determines and provides reasonable accommodations on a case-by-case basis for otherwise qualified students who have demonstrated a need for these services.

All accommodation requests are the responsibility of the student.  The chart below outlines the differences between high school and college.
