The College provides Life Insurance coverage for each full-time faculty and staff member. This coverage also includes a benefit for Accidental Death or Dismemberment. Coverage begins on the first day of the month following the employee’s first day of work.
You must complete an enrollment form and designate a beneficiary for this benefit to take effect. You may change your beneficiary any time you like by completing a form and returning it to Human resources.
The benefit amount for this coverage is equal to the employee’s annual salary. Once the employee turns 65 years of age, the benefit decreases according to the following schedule:

This insurance policy is provided through UNUM Life Insurance Company. UNUM provides options for keeping this coverage once you are no longer employed by the College. For additional information on portability and/or conversion options please contact Human Resources.
