Since joining the Rhodes College faculty in 1988, Pam Church has taught undergraduate and graduate accounting courses in the areas of financial, managerial, and governmental accounting, as well as auditing. Her background includes accounting experience in the banking, manufacturing, and public accounting fields. She earned B.S.E. and M.S. in Accounting degrees from the University of Memphis and a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Houston and also holds a C.P.A. certificate in the state of Tennessee. Her past presentations and publications have included topics such as behavioral aspects of accounting, mergers and acquisitions, tax implications of independent contractors, and innovations in accounting education. As the Director of the M.S. in Accounting program, she assists students in preparing for careers in various areas of accounting and serves as a liaison between the College and accounting practitioners. A native Memphian, Professor Church is the parent of three Rhodes alumni.
