Moodle. Moodle is a Learning Management System (LMS) designed using sound pedagogical principles, to help educators create learning communities of active, reflective, engaged and collaborative learners. Students and faculty login to classes using their email username and password.

Smart Classrooms. There are numerous Smart Classrooms on campus. Each is equipped with a computer built into a lectern, a projection system, VCR, DVD player, a document camera, and a remote control system. Faculty may reserve Smart Classrooms for the entire semester or for one time use. Contact the Registrar′s Office for entire semester reservations or the Facilities Management System for single reservations. Check the ITS web site for more information on Smart Classrooms.

Computer Labs. Two computer labs are located in the lower level of Barret. Each lab has a laser printer. Trained student attendants staff the labs. Reservations for individual classes are made to the Help Desk. Contact the Registrar′s Office for entire semester reservations.

Residential Computer Services for Students. All residential students are provided computer and network services through the ResNet program. Student owned computers that meet college standards may be connected to the network in the residence halls once a Rhodes-appointed technician has certified that the computer meets the minimum standards for connection to the network. Reconfiguration of the equipment hardware or operating system will require re-certification. Please refer to Policies Governing Appropriate Computer Usage for further information.

Purchasing. Purchasing of all computing software and hardware (e.g., programs, computers, monitors, printers, network and storage devices) must be coordinated through ITS. Please refer to Policies Governing Appropriate Computer Usage for further information.
