Dr. Scott Newstok of the Department of English teaches a number of Shakespeare-related courses as well as coordinates the Pearce Shakespeare Endowment that was established in 2007 to enrich courses in Shakespeare and support events for the entire campus.
In April with an international symposium on 1616, Rhodes joins the rest of the world in commemorating the 400th anniversary of Shakepeare’s death. Newstok is featured in Memphis magazine commenting on the symposium as well as Shakespeare as a writer, icon, and businessman. Read more.
