Vincent Viola ’15 Awarded University of California, Berkeley Fellowship

In recognition of his outstanding academic record at Rhodes, Vincent Viola ’15 has been awarded the Fung Fellow Merit Award from the University of California, Berkeley. He will pursue a master’s degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on product design. While at Rhodes, Viola conducted honors research concerning the nature of absorbing material surrounding the galaxies, and he recently graduated cum laude with a B.S. in physics.
He also conducted research on fuel cells as a promising alternative to fossil fuel energy conversion as well as astrophysics research under the direction of Prof. David Rupke.
