Track and Field Teams Win SAA Championship

With 214 team points, the Rhodes Men’s Track & Field team won the first ever Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Championship on April 27 on the campus of the University of the South (Sewanee). Rhodes captured the team title over Centre College who scored 187 points and Birmingham Southern College who totaled 165 points. Read more.

After winning the last five SCAC Championships, the Rhodes Women’s Track & Field team also won the first SAA Championships hosted by Sewanee. The team posted many top individual and relay finishes winning the meet with 204.33 points. Second place was Centre College with 161.33 points followed by Birmingham Southern College with 119 points. Read more.

The 2012-13 school year has been SAA’s first season as a conference.
