Dr. Evelyn Perry, assistant professor of sociology, was interviewed Aug. 15 on Milwaukee Public Radio on how diversity works in one Milwaukee neighborhood, and the challenges it faces.

Her book Live and Let Live sheds light on the everyday processes of negotiating difference in Riverwest, a socially diverse neighborhood in Milwaukee. At Rhodes, Perry teaches a variety of courses that focus on urban and community sociology, culture and inequality, social problems and research methods.
