Caroline Boyd-Rogers ’19, a psychology major at Rhodes, is the recipient of the 2017-18 Mamie Phipps Clark Diversity Research Grant presented by Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology.

The organization recently presented her with the award for her project titled “The Intersection of Sexual Subcultures and Identities: An Examination of Identity Development.” Psychology Professor Geoffrey Maddox mentored Boyd-Rogers through the proposal process, and she will use the award to expand her research.

“The Rhodes psychology department has played an invaluable role in my academic development,” says Boyd-Rogers. “Dr. Maddox, in particular, has gone above and beyond to help me cultivate and pursue my personal research interests. I am grateful for his guidance with this project.”
