Prof. Pettinaroli studies the literatures of the Early Modern Hispanic world in a comparative context, focusing on the elaboration of notions of space and place, and literary history. Her work interrogates placemaking as the literary forum to debate competing visions of globality. Pettinaroli′s scholarship has been supported by the Spanish Ministry of Education Program for Cultural Cooperation, the University of Virginia′s School of Arts and Sciences, the Society of Fellows, and Rhodes College.
