Dr. Daniel Cullen, Professor in the Department of Political Science, is the editor of a new book, Liberal Democracy and Liberal Education.
Daniel Cullen teaches political philosophy and the humanities and directs (with Stephen Wirls) The Project for the Study of Liberal Democracy, which promotes civic education through liberal education, with special attention to the philosophic sources of modern democracy. Cullen is the author of Freedom in Rousseau′s Political Philosophy and several essays on Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Montaigne, democratic theory, and liberal education. His is editor and contributor to Liberal Education and Liberal Democracy(forthcoming from Lexington Books).
