Each year, one high school senior with exceptional academic achievements and distinctive personal accomplishments is awarded a Bellingrath Scholarship. This most prestigious of our awards covers the full cost of tuition for four years at Rhodes.
What are my responsibilities as a Bellingrath Scholar?
Your distinction earns you the right and responsibility of representing Rhodes to outside guests. Bellingrath Scholars assist the Office of Admission by participating in on-campus programs, conducting campus tours for prospective students and their families, hosting prospective students during overnight visits, and helping select future Bellingrath Scholars.
How do I qualify for this award?
Complete and submit an application for admission to Rhodes by January 15.
- Awardees will be notified by April 15. All other applicants will be notified of their admission status and financial aid awards by April 1.
- If you are awarded the Bellingrath Scholarship, you must submit your enrollment deposit to Rhodes no later than May 1.
All applicants who apply on time but are not selected as a Bellingrath Scholar will automatically be considered for our other competitive scholarships and fellowships.
