Clarification and Notice

Yasir Kazi (also spelled ′Qadhi′) was born in Houston, TX. He graduated with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, after which he changed course and studied classical Islamic sciences at the University of Medina in Saudi Arabia. There, he completed his second Bachelors in Hadith Studies, and an M.A. in Islamic Theology. Subsequently, he completed an M.A. and an M.Phil. from the Department of Religious Studies at Yale University, and completed his Ph.D. from the same department in 2013.

His interests are: Islamic theology (especially the classical and medieval periods); Ibn Taymiyya; Quranic exegesis; and Islamic Law.
