Attend Junior Academy for Career Knowledge (JACK), a weekly spring seminar for juniors held Mondays, 4:00 - 5:00 pm for the first six weeks of the semester. Fee is $10.

Schedule an academic internship. Internships provide an opportunity to expand your understanding of academic principles while gaining valuable experience necessary to succeed in the competitive job market. The Career Services staff offers internship orientation sessions each semester. 

Get involved with campus and community organizations to broaden your perspective and enhance your leadership skills.

Evaluate your future plans and decide between graduate school and immediate employment.

If graduate school is in your future, prepare! Attend Grad School Week in the fall semester and meet representatives from graduate schools; take the appropriate graduate admissions tests; and research graduate programs by utilizing the Career Library, career counselors, and your professors.

Use the Career Library to develop a list of potential employer contacts.

Attend all the programs during Career Awareness Week in February.

Find a summer job or internship that is career-related.

Investigate online career resources.

Revise your resume to include internships and summer jobs that pertain to your career objective.
