Career Awareness Week

Each year, Rhodes Career Services sponsors an entire week filled with interactive career-related events to encourage students to begin thinking about career issues and to acquaint students with the many services available through the office. All students are strongly encouraged to participate in the week of activities. The tentative schedule for future Career Awareness Weeks is listed below.

Day 1

  • Attend the Resume Blitz! Receive resume critiques (no appointment needed) from the staff at Career Services. Hourly door prizes!
      
  • Register to win a Career Survival Kit.

Day 2

  • To be determined.

Day 3

  • Seniors will benefit greatly at Put Your Best Fork Forward, the dinner etiquette program offered by Career Services.  (Limited seating, registration required).

Day 4

  • Diversity Luncheon; Cosponsored with Multicultural Affairs.
    (Limited seating, registration required).
  • Meet with employers and explore internships, full-time, part-time, and summer job opportunities at the Career and Internship Expo!  

Day 5

  • The Career Survival Kit drawing will take place.

Day 6

  • Test Drive; Take a sample graduate school entrance exam. There is a $5.00 registration fee, which is donated to a campus organization. 

All Week

  • Register Monday – Thursday to win a Career Survival Kit in Career Services (behind McCoy).
  • View the book displays in the Rhodes Bookstore and Barret Library.
