Why a Four-year Plan?

During your four years at Rhodes, you identify interests and talents. You begin to understand how you will use them in the “real world” after graduation. Our four-year approach integrates your academic experiences with programs that develop the skills you need to achieve career goals.

Some of the activities under the Four-year Plan repeat from year to year. That’s because they’re important. We suggest you print out this list and use it as an active reminder during your four years at Rhodes.

If you’ve accomplished something on the list—for example, if you have determined your career path—then you can move past activities and events pertaining to that. There’s always another item that could use your attention.

Remember, you don’t have to panic. Follow this list, participate in the activities we offer and make an appointment to talk with a Career Services counselor if you don’t know how to take the next step.
