Sandra George Tracy

Since 1990, Sandi has served as the Career Services director. As director, she provides guidance and leadership to the programs and services offered by the staff. Sandi counsels junior and senior students in all aspects of the job search process, including graduate school preparation. She coordinates the academic internship program, the Career Fair Expo, and several workshops for seniors. You may arrange a counseling appointment with Sandi by calling Career Services.

 

Amy Oakes

As the assistant director of Career Services, Amy primarily counsels first-year and sophomore students, as well as students who are still undecided regarding their futures. She coordinates Career Tracks, a career orientation program for first-year students, and facilitates the Sophomore Career Series (SCS), the Junior Academy for Career Knowledge (JACK), and the Career Advancement Seminar for Seniors (CASS), which are six-week seminar series. She coordinates career assessment testing, as well as the Graduate School Expo. You may arrange a counseling appointment with Amy by calling Career Services.

 

Melissa Butler McCowen

A member of the Rhodes staff since May 2000, Melissa serves as coordinator for both Career Services and Disability Services. In her Career Services role, she coordinates Career Awareness Week, counsels junior and senior students, and is responsible for editing The Career Appeal, the Career Services monthly newsletter. In her Disability Services role, she coordinates all accommodations for students with disabilities. You may arrange a counseling appointment with Melissa by calling Career Services.

 

Claudia Rutkauskas

Claudia has been with Rhodes Career Services since 1986. As the administrative assistant and recruiting coordinator,  she is responsible for coordinating the On-Campus Recruitment Program and Credentials Services. She also coordinates and produces many office publications, including the job search guides offered to all students and The Career Appeal.

 

Samantha Daniel

As a graduate intern working on her Ph.D. in counseling psychology at the University of Memphis, Samantha works part time in the Rhodes College Counseling Center and two days per week with Rhodes Career Services.  Sam reviews resumes, helps students with job searches and she conducts interest and career exploration assessments.

 

Jasmine Medley ‘09

As an intern through the Rhodes Student Associate Program (RSAP), Jasmine coordinates and assists with career services programs like Career Awareness Week and office publications like The Career Appeal.  Jasmine also helps to coordinate off-campus internship positions for students as well as keeping the Career Services web site up to date.

 

Jamie Young ‘09

Jamie serves as one of the 2007-2008 interns for the Career Advising Team (CAT). CATs are integral members of our staff, serving as peer mentors and campus leaders who promote career development among the Rhodes community. CATs gain presentation, advising, planning and organizational skills, as well as the opportunity to network with employers. Contact Career Services for more information.
