Rhodes College brings you Sophomore Programs (S’MORES)! S’MORES provides all sophomore students at Rhodes College with opportunities to stay connected and be successful in their sophomore year.

S’MORES Spring 2014 Calendar of Events

Sophomore Career Series

A five week course to explore career opportunities and strengthen your professional image. Sign-ups conducted in advance.

January 15th: Introduction and Strengths Part 1

January 22nd: Strengths Part 2 and Resumes Part 1

January 29th: Resumes Part 2 and Internships

February 5th: Career Fair

February 12th: Linked In and Networking

February 19th: Mock Interviews (optional)

Shadow Day

Career Services is excited to present a new career exploration program for sophomore students called "Sophomore Shadow Day." The aim of this program is to provide students with an opportunity to have an informational interview with a Rhodes faculty or staff member whose job best matches the students′ career interests.

Date: Monday February 3rd

Time: 9:00AM – 4:00PM

Articulating Your Leadership Experiences w/Social

Come and visit with sophomores an afternoon social.  There will be Sophomore Programs staff available to look at your resumes and help you articulate your resume experience in interviews, on campus with faculty and in the community.

Living Off-Campus Housing Informational Sessions

Want to live off-campus your junior year? Come learn the process for living off-campus, working with landlords, and understanding leases.

Staff, alumni and student panel discussing major declaration, issues you may face, etc.

Dajeeling Limited

– Highly typical of Wes Anderson — it′s quirky, lighthearted, and adventurous. The film, which follows three brothers′ travels across India, reveals "a world worth visiting" — or so says the New York Times. Anderson′s whimsical film unlocks a breathless vision of India not soon to be forgotten

Half Way to Graduation Celebration

Congrats! You made it! It’s the end of your sophomore year.  Come and celebrate your successes with the Rhodes campus community. Bring your own blankets and listen to a live band! Games, giveaways, and food will be provided.
