Major: Econmics
Minor: German
Studied Abroad: Art, Literature, and Film
Studied In: Berlin, Germany

My name is Suzanne Wineke, and I am a Senior Economics major and a German minor. I went abroad to Germany both summer and fall 2007. I attended the Maymester Bremen program with Professor Maurer and the Fall IES Berlin program.  Both programs were amazing; I was able to travel to Bremen with other Rhodes students while taking classes at a local university and interviewing and mingling with locals to conduct a research project on the city’s economy. While in Berlin, I lived with a German host mother in the Kreuzburg district, and took art, literature, and film classes taught by professors of Humboldt University. I am now working as the RSA for the Buckman Center for International Education. My first project is to create the IPA—“International Peer Advising Program” Program enabling past Study Abroad to share their experiences, advice and enthusiasm about studying abroad with future Study Abroad students. We want everyone to have an experience as unforgettable as ours!
