Academic Year Research
Qualified students are encouraged to do original laboratory research in biochemistry and molecular biology. A student may use four hours of research to satisfy one of the upper-level requirements for the BMB major. Interested students should consult the appropriate faculty member. See more information on faculty research Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Research opportunities may also be available off campus through the St. Jude Summer Plus program, at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, or at other institutions. Consult the BMB Committee for approval of such research programs to satisfy a major course elective.
