I came to Rhodes from Fed-Ex in January of 1998. My life-long attempt to avoid all things mathematical proved worthless when I accepted this job in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department. Over the years, and very much to my surprise, I have learned that there are people who do use math when they grow up. And not just teachers.
Some of my outside interests include my husband Arthur, biological children Jackson and Tanner, children by marriage (and identical twins) Tanner and Tatton (yes, two Tanners!), and two dogs--Jack the Beagle and Thurlow Deever the big dog. I enjoy reading, dream of traveling, and hope to move to Nova Scotia after retirement. I also have an addiction to winning things off the radio. Finally, my life-long hobby is collecting postcards. In my office, you will find a corkboard full of postcards that the Math/CS faculty, students, and my children have sent to me over the years while on their journeys around the world.
