Media Center / Music Library
Media Center
The Media Center, located in room 31 of the lower level in Barret library, houses more than 2,400 videos and other media formats to supplement academic instruction and to provide entertainment for members of the Rhodes community. The Media Center now houses the music collection formerly located in the Music Library in Hassell Hall.
Hours of Operation
The Media Center has shorter hours than other library services. Please consult our schedule of hours.Checking Out Videos
Videos may be checked out by Rhodes students, faculty and staff for a loan period of three days. Loan limits and overdue fines for videos, audiobooks and other library materials are enumerated on the Check-Out Desk page. See Library Catalog for available titles.
"Feature film" videos (i.e., those classified with a PN 1997 call number) carry with them a $1 check-out fee; this fee goes toward the future purchase of new videos for the enjoyment of the Rhodes community. To borrow a "feature film" video, you must first buy a ticket at the Check-Out Desk on the main floor, then bring your ticket down to the Media Center on the first floor to select and check out your video. Other videos (and audiobooks) may be checked out free of charge at the Media Center desk.
