Full Text Electronic Journals - This link opens the new Serials Solutions E-Journal Portal with links to Rhodes license online journals with both title and subject searchengines. Barret Library licenses the following e-journal collections:JSTOR Arts & Sciences I, II, III, IV, V and Liberal Arts Complement; Project Muse Premium Collection; BioOne and BioOne2 journals; Blackwell and SciDirect Life Sciences journal collections.
Directory of Open Access Journals - 3,200 free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals, many of them searchable at the article level.
E-Books - Over 50,000 titles are available from NetLibrary. There are links from the Barret Library online catalog to most E-books in the collections.
Google Print - A searchable archive of the full texts of books scanned from publishers and libraries. The site includes a discussion of what portions of materials are available for books that may still be under copyright protection: "you′ll only see snippets of text directly around your search term. This snippet view is designed to help users ... make a decision about whether to go find a physical copy of the book."
Newspapers - Newsbank and Infotrac Custom Newspapers services provides fulltext for many national and international newspapers. Another good source for online newspapers is Lexis-Nexis.
Acceda Noticias provides complete electronic editions of more than 20 Spanish-language newspapers published in major U.S. cities from Florida to California plusfull-text articles from other news sources and complete electronic newspaper editions across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Columbia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Spain.
Access Newswires & Transcripts provides current and archived articles from key newswires and broadcast transcripts from many of the top U.S. television and radio news shows.
Off campus access to fulltext databases and online journals through EZ Proxy is possible for persons with permission to use the Rhodes campus network.
