The women established several person bests, including one school record. In the field events, Sophomore Annie Bell (MICDS/St. Louis,MO) got the Lynx off to a great start with a triple jump of 10.68 meters. The jump was a half-foot improvement of her indoor personal best, while only inches away from the school record. Freshman Kim Tryon (Gulf Breeze/Gulf Breeze,FL) also set an indoor personal best with a leap of 9.97 meters.

The Lynx best event proved to be the 400 meter dash. Freshman Julia Goss (Visitation/St. Louis,MO) finished 8th with a time of 1:00.11, while Freshman Kristin Forbes (Hillsboro/Nashville,TN) finished just behind her in 1:00.12. Rounding out the trio of quarter-milers was Senior Elizabeth Erny (Sacred Heart/Louisville,KY) competing in her first indoor meet of the season running a time of 1:01.47.

Forbes returned later in the day to run the 200 meters, breaking her second school record in as many meets with a time of 26.11 seconds. Goss also ran the 200 meters finishing in 26.78 seconds. Sophomore Alanna Topps (Gallatin/Hendersonville,TN) has shown steady improvement running more than a two-second personal best in the 200 meters with a time of 27.76 seconds.

Topps also hurdled earlier in the day. Her time of 9.97 seconds was the fastest ever run by a Rhodes athlete in the less frequently contested 60 meter high hurdles. Sophomore Bekka Russ (Franklin/Franklin,TX) also turned in a great hurdle performance with a time of 10.02 seconds. Sophomore Emily Broocks (Cedar Creek/Ruston,LA) was the only distance runner competing for the Lynx. Running even splits, Broocks ran her best indoor 800 meter performance of her college career with a time of 2:26.53.
