Lynx place three on All-SCAC Teams
02/26/06---Ashley Farrell, Taylor Cook and Crystal Jessee were all named to the 2005-06 All-SCAC teams. Farrell who led the SCAC in 3 point shooting was a first team selection, Cook who became the third leading scorer in SCAC history was named to the second team and Jessee who recently joined the SCAC 500 rebound club, was a third team selection. Cook finished her career with 1625 points and 478 rebounds, and was a three time All-SCAC selection. |

Women Tie School record for wins in a season
02/25/06---The women's basketball team closed out the season losing 89-73 in the SCAC semifinals to DePauw University. The Lynx advanced to the semifinals with a 65-55 win over Southwestern University.The women finished the season 18-8 overall, and tied the school record for wins in a season. Lynx junior center Crystal Jessee averaged 17.0ppg for the SCAC tournament and was named to the SCAC All-Tournament Team. |

02/22/06--The Rhodes Womens Basketball team continues to rank in the top 10 nationally in two statistical categories. The Lynx are 3rd in the nation and tops in the SCAC as a team in three point field goal percentage. Rhodes has hit 40.6% (173 of 426) of their three point attempts. Lynx sophomore guard Ashley Farrell (Collierville, TN) leads the SCAC in this category, hitting 42 of 66 attempts, for a remarkable 63.3 percentage. more |

Women Defeat Millsaps
02/19/06---The women's basketball team closed out its regular season with a 73-89 win over Millsaps College. Taylor Cook led all scorers with 19 points. Rachel Hettinger scored 18 and hauled in 7 rebounds and Ashley Farrell scored 13 with 7 assists. The women finish the season 17-7 overall, 9-5 in conference play, and head into the SCAC tournament next weekend seeded 4th. |

Cook Leads Lynx Past Oglethorpe
02/17/06--- Taylor Cook moved into the third spot in SCAC history in all-time scoring with 1,575 career points, as she scored 25 points in the Lynx 103-96 win over Oglethorpe. Currently, Cook leads the Lynx in scoring at 15.6 points per game (7th in the SCAC) and is now third in Lynx history in scoring. She is averaging 6.2 rebounds per game (14th in the SCAC) and is shooting 82.2% from the foul line (8th in the SCAC).

Rachel Hettinger becomes Assist Leader
01/31/06---Rhodes senior guard Rachel Hettinger became the Lynx all-time assist leader this past weekend. For her career Hettinger has 399 assists, ranking fourth in SCAC history. Hettinger broke Rosemary Boner's record of 385 in the Lynx 73-68 overtime win against The University of the South. Hettinger needs one more assist to move into third place in the SCAC career assist category, and trails Lauren Turnbow of Hendrix by 49 assists for the career SCAC lead. |

01/31/06---Taylor Cook moved into the fifth spot in SCAC history in all-time scoring with 1,516 career points. Currently, Cook leads the Lynx in scoring at 15.8 points per game (seventh in the SCAC) and is now third in Lynx history in scoring. She is averaging 5.8 rebounds per game (19th in the SCAC) and is shooting 80% from the foul line (8th in the SCAC).

01/27/06---Rhodes outlasted Sewanee 73-68 in an overtime thriller played in Mallory Gymnasium. Freshman Brooke Levister led all Lynx scorers with 16 points, on 4 of 5 shooting from three point land as the Lynx improved to 12-6 overall (4-4 SCAC). Rachel Hettinger hit two free throws with 8.6 seconds remaining to tie the score at 64-64. Hettinger finished with 13 points and recorded 9 assists to become the Lynx all-time career leader in total assists. |

01/22/06---Rhodes women's basketball beat Southwestern University this afternoon, 71-62. Ashley Farrell led Lynx scorers shooting 4-6 from behind the arc and finishing the game with 23 points. Gretchen Bufe led the Lynx with 17 points. Rhodes improves to 7-3 on the season and will travel to Huntingdon College after the New Year on January 4th, 2006. |

12/12/05---Taylor Cook had a big week in the two Lynx wins, averaging 23.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. The senior moved into the eighth spot in SCAC history in all-time scoring with 1,352 career points.Currently, Cook leads the Lynx in scoring at 17.0 points per game (fourth in the SCAC). 11/03/05---Rhodes opened the 2005-06 season with a 81-41 exhibition loss to the Division I Memphis Lady Tigers at the Roane Fieldhouse on the campus of Memphis. Taylor Cook led the Lynx with 15 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. Taylor Cook Named Pre-Season All-American
10/17/05---For the second consecutive season,Taylor Cook has been named to the Women's D-III News honorable mention All-Americans list. Last season Cook led the Lynx in scoring and was second in the SCAC in scoring. In three seasons Cook has scored 1216 points for the Lynx and is the fourth all-time leading scorer in Rhodes history.
