 Women's Basketball Falls in Semifinals
02/26/05---The women’s basketball team capped a fine season with a 82-74 quarterfinal win in SCAC Tournament play against Hendrix College, On Friday February 25th, in Mallory Gymnasium. Junior guard Rachel Hettinger poured in a career high 26 points, and junior forward Taylor Cook added 22, as the Lynx recorded their 16th win of the season, the third most wins in a season in the history of women’s basketball at Rhodes.
However, in the semifinal game Rhodes fell to nationally ranked DePauw 82-56. First year guard Ashley Farrell led all Lynx scorers with 14 points, and Rhodes finished the season at 16-10. Cook and Farrell were named second team All-SCAC and Hettinger was voted Honorable Mention. Farrell was also recognized as SCAC Newcomer-of-the-Year.

  
 Women's Basketball Beats Hendrix
02/19/05---Crystal Jessee led the Lynx tonight with 22 points and 6 rebounds in a 70-58 win over Hendrix. Ashley Farrell added 17 points and 6 rebounds as the Lynx secured the number four seed in next weekend's SCAC Tournament at Rhodes. Rhodes improves to 15-9 overall (8-6 SCAC) and will play Hendrix again next Friday night at 8 pm in Mallory Gymnasium.

 Ashley Farrell named SCAC Player-of-the Week
01/11/05---Freshman guard Ashley Farrell has been selected SCAC Player-of-the Week for games played January 3rd through January 9th. For the weekend Farrell averaged 18.5 points per game, shot 52.0% (13-of-25) from the field, 40.0% (2-of-5) from three-point territory, and was 9-of-11 from the foul line (81.8%). She also chipped in with 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 3.5 steals.
 
 Taylor Cook scores 1000th point
01/09/05---Junior forward Taylor Cook scored 26 points in Sunday's 77-65 upset win against 8th rated Trinity to become the 8th Lynx player to reach 1000 career points scored, and the 2nd in the past 3 seasons. Cook has now scored 1025 points in 59 games, averaging 17.4 points per game. She currently leads the SCAC in scoring at 19.6 points a contest.
