SAAC Names Student-Athletes of the Month

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has named Sophomore Steele French (Alpharetta, GA) and Junior Dana Bartolomei as the Student-Athletes of the Month for March.

French ran a trio of impressive times during the month for the Lynx, starting with a time of 1:59.4 in the 800m at the Rhodes Open, and followed that with a time of 4:07.63 1500m at the Lynx Invitational and a time of 1:59.54 at the Washington University Invitational.

Bartolomei hit .431 for the month (22-51) with 4 doubles, a triple, and home run and 15 RBI. In addition, she was 7-2 with 2 saves in the circle for the Lynx, posting a 1.25 ERA for the month with 77 strikeouts in 50 innings pitched, leading the Lynx to the best start in school history at 13-5. She was named the SCAC Pitcher of the Week for February 26 – March 4, and on Sunday, March 17 th vs. Millsaps, she became Rhodes’ all-time leader in strikeouts.
